The 2021 International Building Code (IBC) introduces several important updates. It now defines "puzzle rooms" (escape rooms) as special amusement areas, requiring compliance with Section 411 and special egress provisions. Fire-separated areas in buildings are considered separate structures when determining allowable control areas. In Group E occupancies, classrooms with a volume of 20,000 cubic feet or less must meet updated acoustic standards as per ICC A117.1. Changes also simplify the rules for Metal Composite Materials (MCM) on exterior walls, eliminating sprinkler requirements, and address the use of intermodal shipping containers as buildings. Automatic sprinklers are now mandatory in Group S-2 open parking garages larger than 48,000 square feet. New provisions also include minimum height requirements for parapets on aggregate-surfaced roofs, updated snow and rain load standards, and reclassification of mixed occupancy buildings with assembly spaces to Risk Category III if the public occupant load exceeds 2,500.

Returns & Exchanges Policy
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase from Codebook Library. If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, we accept eligible returns under the conditions outlined below.
Return Eligibility
- Returns must be requested within 15 days of delivery
- Items must be damaged or incorrectly shipped
- Books must be returned in their original condition, including packaging
⚠️ Correctly delivered books that do not meet expectations due to used condition are not eligible for return.
Return Process

- Include your order number, description of the issue, and clear photos (if applicable)
- Once approved, return instructions will be provided
- A prepaid return shipping label will be issued only if the return is due to our error
Refunds
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Processing begins after the returned item is received and inspected
- Please allow up to 7 business days for the refund to reflect in your account
Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part.
